Located in the north end of Santa Clarita, Saugus is primarily a residential community with great schools, fewer HOA’s, great parks. It’s a little farther to the freeway than Valencia and Stevenson Ranch neighborhoods but you tend to get more for your money in Saugus. The average home in Saugus was built in the 1980’s with many of the homes being accompanied by large lots, mature oak trees, and gorgeous valley views. With homes of all sizes ranging from condos, townhomes, to single family homes, Saugus has a home for everyone! Shopping and restaurants surround Saugus making it easily accessible for your shopping and dining needs. Saugus is also home to one of the oldest restaurants in Los Angeles county, Saugus Café, established in 1887! In the past years, Newhall Ranch Road was expanded for easy and convenient access to both Soledad and Golden Valley Road making Saugus one of the center spots for Santa Clarita residents. During this expansion, homes ranging from private estates in a gated community to beautiful craftsman style townhomes were created only expanding Saugus’s offering of beautiful properties.

Saugus schools are great schools and tend to be a little more laid back but spirited. The highest rated elementary schools in Saugus are Emblem, Plum Canyon, and Mountain View. Arroyo Seco Junior High and Saugus are consistently rated highly.

Just minutes from Saugus, in Valencia, you can find exceptional health care at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital. Henry mayo is a 357-bed, not-for-profit community hospital and trauma center. Their outstanding affiliated medical staff is encompassed of physicians whose expertise range across more than 71 specialties and subspecialties. These physicians, along with hospital clinical and support staff, are implementing new information technologies and continually enhancing care to improve outcomes and service for you and your family.

Saugus mainly has smaller strip malls with the exception of Centre Pointe Village, which has a Walmart, Sams Club, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and a number of furniture shops.

A large community park for residents of all ages to join sports leagues, listen to music put on by Concerts in the Park and meet neighbors who are walking the trails or playing with the dogs in the off leash fenced in dog park. There is also a community garden, jogging trails, and ballparks.
